A not so terrible 2 year old

Here are some pictures from James' second birthday party we had.  It was just the 3 of us again, but it was still a fun day celebrating my baby.  I worked the night Before and the Night of, so James spent most of his day with his daddy (which was probably just fine with him) We opened presents, had pizza and cake, and had a wonderful few hours together as a family.

BALLS!

"Dad, how do we open these things??"

300 balls equals lots of fun for this 2 year old (and lots of cleaning for this momma :)

Movie Time!

Must have been a serious part

James started supper off with an appetizer, a Swiss cake roll

Making sure he licks every last bite off the paper

Dad sneaking a bite of the pizza

Sometimes being the birthday boy can be tough!

Eating pizza off of his toy story plates

Testing out the chocolate from the cake....

Hmmm....I guess it will pass inspection

Lighting the candle

FIRE!!!!!

One quick bite first

YUMMY

Blowing out the candle

I think I like this birthday thing

Classic cheesing

CAKE
I sure inform you that I was not allowed to eat the chocolate cake because after Nate made it, he realized the eggs he used had expired 2 months prior.  He figured he and James were safe because they had both eaten them for breakfast that morning.  I, on the other hand, was pregnant, and should not take the risk of developing gut wrenching food poisoning.  I begrudgingly complied.

My boy is such a ham.

Birthday Presents!

Dad, you didn't!

TOY STORY BLANKET!!!!

Here, I must tell a story.  James LOVES toy Story.  It is one of his FAVORITE movies (yes, he has many favorites)  The other day while watching it, The character woody fell down and James freaked out and started yellowing "Oh no, TOY STORY!!!"  Nate and I realized he thought the name of the character was "toy story"  We told him the toy's name was "Woody"  He then repeated the name, looked a little confused, and continued watching the movie.  Gotta' love a two year old's mind :)

Bear hug from dad in his new blanket

another movie to add to his collection
The best picture I could get with this kid. He did NOT want to cooperate

And this is his favorite thing to do.  Play with his new 300 pack of balls in his ball pit, all the while asking for "More Fun"  (aka pouring balls over his head"
