Seven Months Old

Can you believe my baby boy is now seven months old! YIKES. It's is so hard to believe. I know I say this every month, but seriously how can it be??? He is getting so big and smart. He is constantly trying to figure things out. He is so curious and always taking in everything that is going on around him. He is a whopping 18lbs 4oz and 28in long. He soon wont be able to fit into his infant car seat anymore! I am trying to hold out buying a convertible until spring gets here, since it is still so cold out. My abilities to lug the infant car seat around, however, are dwindling.

James is slowly learning to like solid foods. He would still much rather be fed by his momma or get a bottle. He still has be to swaddled to sleep soundly. He continues to sleep like a champ. He has both of his bottom two teeth in, and his top two have just broken through. He is such a good baby, and I wouldn't have even known he was teething again, except I put my finger in his mouth and happen to feel them poking through.

James still loves going to daycare. I will be switching to rotating 12hr days and nights starting in April, so that will be different for us. Nate accepted a part time para job at schroeder middle school, and hopefully will be teaching part time at ELL (English Language Learners) as well. We know that God will continue to provide for us, as He always has.

Nate has been determined to get James moving! He is still working on crawling, but he loves to stand. I however, am continuing to enjoy his immobile stage. He sits up like a pro, and rolls like there is no tomorrow. I just love how every day he seems to accomplish something new!

James loves to babble. He has started "talking" and loves it when we talk back. He is not saying any words yet, but we are still enjoying his talking to us.

I love that my baby is getting so big, but I also wish that I could keep him small forever. I know that someday these days will seem like a fleeting memory, so I am trying to treasure each and every day we have with my baby being a baby.

Baths; Hats; and Skype

Lounging in the kitchen sink after eating breakfast. James loves it when we let him bathe in the sink.

Gettin' Clean!

Too Cool for words :)

My beautiful happy baby boy. I am so amazed by this little man. I have been off of work for the last four days and I have loved every day. I feel so blessed to have this smiley, happy, precious baby boy. Every time I rock him to sleep and watch his little eyes get heavier by the minute I thank God for giving me such a beautiful and wonderful gift. Being a parent is like no other.

Oh, and if you want to see my little man, you can skype me :) Karlea86. We are free most mornings or evenings!

OH, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a very special Grandma Vicki!!! We miss you!!

Picture Friday

Thought I would share some picture I took of James today. He has been a rollin' fool lately. He has been working really hard on crawling. Eating solid foods has been going better. He tried some mashed potatoes last night, and loved them.
Checking out a new toy.

Working on crawling

Posing for Mom

Such a big boy!

Look at my two bottom teeth! Don't stick your finger in there, or you might not get it back!

Fascinated by the sun.

So happy!

growin' up

Me and my baby. Oh, how I love him.

Playing with dad.

Sticking EVERYTHING in his mouth!

Look at my big boy on "his" computer (aka DVD player) He was watching baby Einstein while mom was updating her facebook status :) How I love lazy evenings with my boy. He is just growing up so fast.

Look at those innocent eyes :) Do you also notice the red tint to his hair? It only comes out in the sunlight. I am curious to see what color his hair ends up being. It looks brown normally, but in the light it takes on this reddish hue.

Most of the time, James really is a happy baby. Especially when I let him play naked :)

Look at those chubby Cheeks!

James was fascinated by the shadows. He kept trying to pick it up :)
